Each year the AETA features a different brand of antique engine or tractor, with Massey-Harris and Massey-Ferguson and implements to be showcased this year.
As stated on their website, the annual three day Working Farm Show is where AETA members harvest 40 acres of corn and beans with mid 1900’s equipment, work the field with horses, thresh oats or wheat, run a saw mill, and demonstrate gas engines used from the early to mid 1900’s. The annual show gets bigger each year with over 400 tractors, over 100 garden tractors, and hundreds of gas engines, plus other agricultural memorabilia on the grounds.
Besides the ag equipment, demonstrations, and collector displays, there’s also food and craft vendors, train rides, people movers, digging up potatoes, a pie auction, daily parades at 1 p.m., farm animals, a giant corn kernel “sandbox,” and plenty of fun for the kids!
Vendor demonstrations include rug weaving, broom making, wood turning, gardening, and other crafts. Also on-site is a working sawmill, corn crib, and blacksmith shop, threshing demonstrations, gardening, and harvesting with vintage equipment. The show is a way to experience farming with all the sights and sounds of the old-fashioned ways.
Come and enjoy all the show has to offer! Admission is $10 per day or $20 for the weekend, and kids 12 and under are free. On Friday, veterans can get in for $5. The gates are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Golf carts are available to rent.
