Kathleen “Kathy” Kay (Weaver) Lybarger, age 80, passed away at her home in Canton, surrounded by loved ones on February 26, 2026. She was born in rural Farmington to Gerald and Lois (Romine) Weaver both deceased. Kathy is survived by Bill her dedicated husband of 63 years. Brother Gary (Barb) Weaver of Hamilton, MT, Sisters, Winnie Wilson and Lorraine (George) Timmons both of Canton. Daughters, Victoria (Torrie) and (Sam) Cox of Kingston, TN; Angela “Angie” (Greg) Lingenfelter of Canton, and Allison Lybarger also of Canton. Granddaughter, Trinity (Brian) Grahl, of Oak Ridge, TN, with great-grandchildren, Ezekiel and Naomi. She leaves behind several adored nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her infant son, Douglas Eugene, Brother, Larry (Doris) Weaver of Lewistown; sisters, Sandra “Sandy” Weaver and Jeannie Weaver both of Canton and brother, Danny Weaver of Canton. She was a Christian homemaker who loved the Lord. Many family and friends received laminated bookmarks in her greeting cards. She took pride in her sewing alterations over the years for family and friends. She and her husband loved going to the Amana Colonies to watch plays and look for new snowbabies. She enjoyed ceramics, crafts, and collecting cookbooks. She was a Spoon River Valley room mother several years. Kathy joined in February 1974 as a charter member of the Young-at-Heart unit of H.E.A. She also occasionally worked at the Fairview Library many years ago. She loved her family; her “girls” especially her granddaughter, Trinity, and 2 great-grandkids, Ezekiel and Naomi. Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 5, at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Randy Hall and Danny Lybarger will officiate. Burial will follow service at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton.
