Douglas S. DePodesta, Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) of the Chicago Division of the FBI, announced today the arrest early this morning of Antonio Stigler, a subject of the “Chicago Most Wanted” fugitive list.

Members of FBI Chicago’s Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF) at about 6:35 a.m. CT, Friday, January 16, 2026, executed an arrest warrant at a Dolton residence — a southwest suburb Chicago. Thanks to the extensive investigative and publicity collaboration between the Riverdale Police Department, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police – South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, and the VCTF; Antonio Stigler was safely arrested and transferred to the custody of the Riverdale Police Department.

“The FBI is committed to utilizing every available tool in our arsenal via our local, state, and federal law enforcement partnerships to bring violent criminals to justice and keep our communities safe. Together, with partners like the Riverdale Police Department, U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, there will be no refuge or safe haven for criminals from our reach.”

— Douglas S. DePodesta, Special Agent-in-Charge

“The Riverdale Police Department would like to thank the FBI Chicago Field Office for its critical role in locating and apprehending Antonio Stigler. Through the resources and investigative support provided by the FBI, the Riverdale Police Department was able to successfully locate and take Stigler into custody. This arrest reflects the effectiveness of coordinated law enforcement efforts and our shared commitment to public safety and accountability.”

— Mark Kozeluh, Riverdale Police Department Chief of Police

Launched in September 2025, the “Chicago Most Wanted” list identifies fugitives facing felony charges to include murder, carjacking, or aggravated battery and are considered to be a threat to public safety by local, state, or federal law enforcement. To date, Stigler is the second subject to have been captured. Stigler was charged on February 26, 2025, with First Degree Murder in the Circuit Court of Cook County for his alleged involvement in the murder of a pregnant woman, Yasmeena Harris, in a backyard in Riverdale, Illinois on October 25, 2024. A reward of up to $10,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of Stigler was announced by the FBI in connection with the Chicago Most Wanted fugitive list.

To help bring the remaining subjects to justice, the FBI urges the public to review the fugitive list and report information to the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) or online at tips.fbi.gov. Reward money is available to incentivize the public to submit tips about the whereabouts of the remaining subjects. Tipsters may elect to remain anonymous.
