Tony Romo Gives Honest Insight On George Pickens Fit With CeeDee Lamb For Dallas Cowboys
Written by Kathryn Sears

Tony Romo, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, was another football expert who gave his two cents on the team bringing in George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a recent interview. A couple of days ago, it was confirmed that the Cowboys traded wide receiver Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers for their spot in the 2026 NFL draft.

While many NFL analysts condemned the move and trolled Jerry Jones for his decision, other experts like Romo have commented otherwise. According to Romo, the decision to bring in George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers will strengthen the team’s offense quite well.

“That’s a big trade. Having him and CeeDee together is a game-changer,” Romo said during a recent interview. “If you remember when they had Amari [Cooper] and CeeDee Lamb together, it becomes difficult to focus on one player when you have two superstars out there. If you have guys like that, it opens up the offense quite a bit. The Cowboys did a great job this offseason. Kudos to the Jones family and what they did because they needed to make up ground on the rest of the division. And they did, extensively.” Tony Romo said about the Dallas Cowboys bringing in wide receiver George Pickens through a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tony Romo played with the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 to 2016 and made it to four Pro Bowls. Prior to the league, the quarterback played college football for the Eastern Illinois Panthers. In his NFL career, the former quarterback had a 65.3 pass completion percentage, scoring a total of 248 touchdowns with 117 interceptions.

The NFL schedule is out, and football fans are already making plans to watch their favorite teams in action. Dallas Cowboys fans are amused to know that their beloved team will be locking horns with the Kansas City Chiefs this Thanksgiving. The Dallas Cowboys will actually be opening their season with a bang by taking on the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl this February after defeating the Chiefs. On Thanksgiving, football fans will be delighted to see Jerry Jones’ Cowboys take on the Chiefs who were almost about to score the very first three-peat in NFL history. While the Chiefs will obviously have Patrick Mahomes steering the ship, Dallas will most likely lean on Dak Prescott who is still undergoing rehab for his injured hamstring.
