CHICAGO – Fresh off leading the Chicago State Cougars to the semifinal of the 2025 NEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, freshman Aiyanna Culver was named to the NEC All-Tournament team.

Culver scored in double figures in both of Chicago State’s NEC Tournament games averaging 17.5 ppg and scoring 19 points in the loss to FDU. She also added five assists in the quarterfinal win over Central Connecticut State Her back-to-back double figure outings ran her consecutive games in double figures to 10 straight games, a streak she will look to keep in tact in 2025-26 season.

Chicago State’s postseason run was the first time that the Cougars advanced in a conference tournament since winning the Great West tournament in 2011. Head Coach Corry Irvin becomes the first women’s basketball coach to lead Chicago State to a postseason victory in her first season.
