Cougars Cross Country Teams Compete at EMU Fall Classic

The Chicago State cross country competed in the EMU Fall Classic on Friday, October 25 at Hudson Hills Metropark in Dexter, Michigan. The non-team scoring event served as the final tune up heading into the NEC Championships November 1 in New Britain, Connecticut. 

Bethany Bergholm paced the women’s team with a time of 28:09.7 in the 5,000m course while Trevon Prince was the top men’s finisher with a time of 19:00.4 in that same distance.

Chicago State University sponsors 16 Division I intercollegiate athletic teams and competes in the Northeast Conference with the exception of men’s and women’s tennis who will compete in the Horizon League during the 2024-25 season. CSU’s athletic program includes over 150 student-athletes that compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, triathlon and volleyball.
