The Chicago Bulls’ franchise has been in ‘basketball hell’ for years now, failing to win a playoff game since 2022 and a playoff series since 2015. They have been stuck in this pattern of making the NBA Play-In Tournament but failing to advance further than that.
But this past Summer, the Bulls may have gotten the boost they need for the long term.
Holding the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Bulls drafted Caleb Wilson out of North Carolina. He’s one of the best prospects in a loaded class and some even believe he can be the best among them. So far, Bulls fans are excited to have Wilson here in the Windy City and are awaiting his official debut.
Before that though, one of Wilson’s cards just set a new record.
Caleb Wilson card sets new record
While Caleb Wilson isn’t in the Topps Chrome Basketball release from a few weeks ago and collectors will have to wait for his first NBA card, he was a part of a recent Bowman release. The cards of Wilson feature him while at North Carolina. And despite them not having him in a Bulls uniform yet, collectors aren’t bothered.
That’s evident by a recent sale of a Bowman Wilson card.
Topps recently revealed that Wilson’s 1-of-1 ‘Go Heels’ autograph just sold for $48,000 at auction. That made it the most expensive Caleb Wilson card ever — so far.

Wilson’s market is already hot. This card is awesome because not only is it a 1/1 but the inscription pays homage to his college team, North Carolina.
If Wilson comes out and plays well early on, his cards will continue to gain value and that’s what collectors are banking on. Now might be a good time to get in the Wilson market. Otherwise it could be too late.
