Sports Roundup: A Peek at the Latest

Men’s Baseball

The Eagles went 1-1 this week with a 15-4 loss against Franklin College and an 8-7 win against Ripon College. Freshman, Carter Funk, hit a walk-off homerun in the 9th inning. Jack Hayden recorded the win on the mound. The Eagles will travel to Florida for their Spring Break trip where they will play eight games.

Men’s Volleyball

The Eagles went 1-0 this week with a conference win over St. Norbert. They won that game three sets to one. Tucker Lambert led the way with 18 kills. The Eagles will have three games this week, a home game against Aurora on Wednesday and two games on Saturday against Marian University and Loras College. Both of these will be held at Marian.

Men’s Lacrosse

The Eagles team went 1-0 this week with a 15-6 win against Carroll University on Saturday. Ben Sochaki led the way with four goals. The Eagles will travel to Bloomington on Tuesday to play Illinois Wesleyan for their only game of the week.

Women’s Softball

The Eagles team will open up their season in Kissimmee, Florida on Friday. They will play 10 games before coming back.

Both Men and Women’s Basketball lost in the first round of the NACC tourney to end their seasons
