State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) is collecting “Valentines for Veterans” cards and drawings at his district office in Cahokia Heights. He is encouraging students and residents of all ages to make Valentine cards with a special thank you, including well-wishes to veterans that served our nation in the U.S. Armed Forces.
“I believe the small things we do for the men and women who served our country makes a big difference in their lives,” said Schmidt. “The purpose of my Valentines for Veterans card drive is to let them know our community supports them and appreciates their sacrifices made to protect our freedoms. A simple card or drawing will bring a smile to someone’s face, and that is the goal we are working on together to achieve this Valentine’s Day in the 114th District.”
All ages are invited to create a Valentine card or drawing. Cards should be delivered to Rep. Schmidt’s office by mail or in person, located at 4041 Mississippi Avenue in Cahokia Heights no later than Feb. 12, 2026. Call before office drop-off to ensure staff is available to collect.
The Valentine cards and drawings will be delivered to veterans residing in long-term care facilities located within the 114th District in time for Valentine’s Day.
